Interdiction Network
Code of Conduct
The Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Interdiction Network is a collaborative project brought to you by Arizona HIDTA, in cooperation with the HIDTA Arizona Regional Interdiction Network (ARIN) initiative.
The Interdiction Network is a 100% Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) compliant website dedicated to supporting criminal interdiction, information sharing, operational awareness, as well as intelligence support of criminal interdiction cases and operations. The Interdiction Network is available to law enforcement officers engaged in criminal interdiction, investigators, and criminal intelligence analysts supporting interdiction.
The following Code of Conduct will be required to protect the integrity of the Interdiction Network, participants, investigations, participating agencies and HIDTA’s. Every action within the Interdiction Network is automatically recorded with a date/time stamp including identity of the person completing the action.
· No case specific, or personal identifying information (PII) shall be shared on the open forums, although it can be shared privately in the chat feature, within the Interdiction Network.
· Case Information shared with the Interdiction Network continues to be the property of the submitting agency. No PII information will be shared without the express permission of the investigating agency.
· When a seizure is submitted to the Interdiction Network, requests for Analytical support and case deconfliction are optional, and will only be performed when requested.
· Seizure information will be entered into the El Paso Intelligence Center (EPIC) National Seizure System (NSS) with permission from the investigating agency.
· Cases submitted to the Interdiction Network will be posted to the recent seizure blog, with all PII information removed.
· Photographs contained within the interdiction network SHALL NOT be copied or used in any way without permission of the investigating agency.
· Discussions in the forums on the Interdiction Network shall be professional in nature and shall never contain PII information. The CJIS compliant chat can be used to share case specific information. Chat history will only be saved for 30 days. Remember: Everything is discoverable.
· Only government email addresses will be used to access the HIDTA Interdiction Network.
· Misuse of the Interdiction Network can result in removal from the resource. Any inappropriate comments will be immediately removed and the submitters’ permissions subject to suspension and/or revocation.
When signing up for the Interdiction Network an email will be auto generated to the participants supervisor requesting approval for the participant to access the interdiction network, share seizure information, and post comments to the forums and chat.
Participants with inactive accounts will receive an email reminder to login after 60 days of inactivity, and again after 85 days of inactivity. After 90 days of inactivity user will be disabled and will need to contact the interdiction network team to reactivate their account.
